Millie Bobby Brown Shares First Photo of Baby No. 2: ‘Hi Little Guy!’

Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi have introduced their second child — or at least his hand. The couple shared a joint Instagram photo on Thursday night (Sept. 17) of their hands cradling the baby’s, with a three-word caption: “hi little guy!”

The post came hours after a source told People that Brown, 22, and Bongiovi, 24, had welcomed a second baby through adoption. The couple’s own post doesn’t mention adoption, and they haven’t shared a name, an age or when the baby joined the family.

It makes two children in about a year. The couple announced their first daughter in August 2025 with a joint post: “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”

Is Millie Bobby Brown’s second baby a boy?

The caption is the only word from the couple, and it calls the baby “little guy.” They have not otherwise announced the sex, and nothing else about him is public.

Fans had been guessing for weeks. In a Sept. 7 Instagram video from a family trip to the Dolomites in Italy, Brown carried their daughter while Bongiovi walked beside her with a baby carrier strapped to his chest.

Why did Millie Bobby Brown adopt?

Because she wanted to, and said so before either child arrived. Speaking on Kylie Kelce’s podcast Not Gonna Lie in June 2025, months before the first announcement, Brown said she had always intended to adopt: “It was always part of my childhood dreams.”

She has not framed it as a fallback. Neither she nor Bongiovi has said anything publicly about fertility, surrogacy or a medical reason.

How does a private adoption actually work?

In the United States, most infant adoptions run through a licensed agency or an adoption attorney rather than the foster system. Prospective parents complete a home study — background checks, financial review, interviews, a caseworker’s inspection — before they can be matched at all.

The match itself is the part nobody can schedule. An expectant parent chooses the family, and in most states can change that decision after birth, during a revocation window that runs anywhere from a few days to several weeks depending on where the placement happens.

Only after that window closes does a court finalize. The whole thing can take a year or it can take a month, which is why families who have been matched usually say nothing until it is done.

Who is Millie Bobby Brown’s husband?

Jake Bongiovi, 24, is a model and actor and the son of Jon Bon Jovi. He and Brown got engaged in April 2023 and married in a small private ceremony in May 2024, followed by a larger celebration in Italy that September.

Brown has been working since she was 11, when Stranger Things cast her as Eleven. She has since led the Enola Holmes films and starred in Damsel and The Electric State for Netflix.
