Privacy policy
This page explains what FameCrumbs collects when you read the site or write to us, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Reading the site
- No account, no sign-up. You can read everything on FameCrumbs without giving us any personal information.
- Server logs: like any website, our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix errors.
- Your preferences: if you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is stored in your own browser (local storage). It never reaches us.
- Embedded posts and videos: some stories embed content from platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok or X. When a story loads one, that platform may collect data under its own privacy policy.
Writing to us
When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email, the link you mention and your message. We use them only to read, verify and reply, and we keep them for as long as the matter they concern requires. We do not share them, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this changes — for example, if we add an analytics or advertising service — this page will be updated before it happens and will name the service.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — including under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) where they apply. Send the request through the contact page. We will not treat you differently for making it.
Children
FameCrumbs is a general-audience news site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
