Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have installed a voice-warning alarm around their new home in Bratenahl, Ohio, a small lakefront village on the edge of Cleveland. The system speaks to anyone who gets too close and tells them to stay off the property, Page Six first reported.
At least one neighbor has already heard it. According to a nearby resident quoted in that report, the neighbor got close to the house and heard a voice warning not to pass onto the property.
Where is Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Ohio home?
The couple bought the estate in Bratenahl in March for $5.35 million, months before their July wedding at Madison Square Garden. The house sits on Lake Erie and has roughly 21,000 square feet, eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a home theater and a game room.
The move brings Kelce back to the Cleveland area: he grew up in nearby Cleveland Heights.

How does a voice-warning security system work?
These systems pair outdoor cameras with loudspeakers. Software watches a set perimeter and, when a person crosses into it, plays a spoken warning — either a recorded message or a live voice from a monitoring center that can see the camera feed.
The point is to stop someone before they reach a door or a window, instead of recording them after the fact. Many systems also flash lights and alert the owners or a security company at the same moment, so a second step, like calling police, can follow fast.
Why do Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce need extra security?
Swift has had intruders arrested at her New York townhouse in past years. In Bratenahl, the village already has its own small police force that patrols regularly, and nearby condo buildings keep 24-hour security, local realtor Patricia Knight Gary of Howard Hanna said.

Bratenahl Mayor Keith Benjamin said the village is used to high-profile residents and welcomes them. Swift and Kelce have not commented on the system.

The take
A talking alarm is the polite version of a gate: it tells people where the line is before anyone has to call the police. For a couple whose move to Bratenahl was public from the day the sale was reported, it is a practical fix.
