‘Lioness’ Season 4: Has Paramount+ Renewed It After the Finale?

• The Lioness Season 3 finale, its eighth episode, streamed on Paramount+ on Sunday, Sept. 20.
• No Season 4 has been announced. Paramount+ has not renewed or canceled the show.
• That is not a bad sign on its own: Season 3 was ordered on Oct. 1, 2025, almost 10 months after Season 2 ended.

Joe McNamara’s third mission is over, and the question fans typed into Google on Sunday night was the obvious one: is there a Season 4?

Not yet. Paramount+ has not announced a renewal for Lioness, Taylor Sheridan’s CIA drama starring Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman. It has not announced a cancellation either.

Is ‘Lioness’ renewed for Season 4?

Not as of Sept. 20. The show’s history suggests the answer may take months, not days.

Season 2 premiered in October 2024. Paramount+ did not confirm Season 3 until Oct. 1, 2025, and it arrived on Aug. 2, 2026, nearly two years after Season 2. If the same rhythm holds, a decision would land in 2027 and new episodes later still.

Streaming renewals have no fixed date, unlike broadcast TV, where network schedules are set each May. And a Lioness order has to line up two Oscar winners, Saldaña and Kidman, plus a creator running several Paramount+ shows at once.

Who is in the ‘Lioness’ Season 3 cast?

Zoe Saldaña as Joe McNamara, the CIA station chief who runs the Lioness program. Nicole Kidman as Kaitlyn Meade, her supervisor. Morgan Freeman as Edwin Mullins and Michael Kelly as Byron Westfield.

Also back: Laysla De Oliveira as Cruz, Dave Annable as Joe’s husband, Neal, Genesis Rodriguez as Josephina, Jill Wagner as Bobby, LaMonica Garrett as Tucker and James Jordan as Two Cups. Ian Bohen joined as Grady, a Delta Force K9 handler.

Season 3 put Joe up against hidden networks and foreign operatives while her marriage and kids pulled her the other way. Here is the final trailer.

How do you watch ‘Lioness’ Season 3?

All eight episodes are on Paramount+, on any plan, along with Seasons 1 and 2. Each season has eight episodes, running about 40 to 55 minutes.
