Firehouse Subs’ Thanksgiving Turkey Sub Is Back, With a New Pecan Bar
Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and a cup of gravy for dunking: the sub that sold out last year returns through December, and this time there's a pecan dessert.

Firehouse Subs is serving Thanksgiving two months early. The chain announced on Monday, Sept. 28, that its Thanksgiving Turkey Sub is back at participating restaurants nationwide, and this time it brought dessert: a new Pecan Bar, baked in-house daily.
Both are on the menu through the end of December, while supplies last. The sub sold out across the country last year, Firehouse says, and this year the chain is giving fans more time with it. Here’s what’s on it, how big it gets and what changed from last year.
What’s on the Firehouse Subs Thanksgiving Turkey Sub?
Carved turkey breast, warm stuffing, sweet-tart cranberry sauce and mayo, served hot on a freshly toasted sub roll. You pick white or wheat.
The optional side is the chain’s turkey gravy, which Firehouse describes as rich and savory, with notes of garlic, roasted turkey and vegetable stock. It comes in a cup for dunking, and it costs extra. The chain pairs the whole meal with a Dr Pepper.
“It delivers everything people love about Thanksgiving in true Firehouse Subs fashion: hearty, craveable and packed into one hot sub,” Carolina Berti, Firehouse’s chief marketing officer, said in the announcement.
How many calories are in the Thanksgiving Turkey Sub?
It depends on the size. These are the numbers Firehouse lists for this year’s sub, without the gravy:

The medium, the default size on Firehouse’s online menu, has 30 grams of fat and 131 grams of carbohydrates, according to its nutrition panel. Prices vary by restaurant and show up in the Firehouse app or on its website once you choose a location.
What is the new Firehouse Subs Pecan Bar?
A pecan-pie-style dessert bar. Firehouse says it’s baked fresh in the restaurants every day and loaded with toasted pecans and caramel flavor. On the chain’s menu it’s listed as the Pecan Pie Bar, made with butter, brown sugar and pecans over a shortbread base, at 560 calories.
Some restaurants were selling both items before the announcement. The YouTube review channel theendorsement tried the sub and the Pecan Bar in a video posted on Sept. 21, calling it a soft launch, and dunked the sub in the gravy on camera.
What changed from last year?
The gravy was last year’s addition. When the sub returned on Sept. 29, 2025, Firehouse added the gravy as a new side, along with an Extra Cheesy Mac & Cheese and a Double Chocolate Chip Cookie.
Firehouse kept the gravy theme going after launch. In November 2025, it sold a $20 novelty “Gravy Extinguisher” online, with all proceeds going to its public safety foundation.
This year the dessert is the new piece, and Firehouse says it’s giving the sub more time: it stays on the menu through the end of December, past Thanksgiving and into the holidays.
Where your money goes
A portion of every Firehouse purchase goes to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which buys lifesaving equipment for first responders. The foundation has awarded more than $118 million across North America, the company says. Firehouse was founded in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1994 by two brothers who were former firefighters.
