Rihanna Shares Rare Photos of Daughter Rocki After Her First Birthday

A first year, in 19 slides. Rihanna, 38, shared 19 photos and videos of her daughter, Rocki Irish Mayers, on Instagram on Saturday, Sept. 26, two weeks after Rocki’s first birthday.
The caption was one line: “who let me have a daughter, bro?” In its first day, the post passed 4.4 million likes and 36,000 comments.
What’s in Rihanna’s post of Rocki?
The carousel mixes 11 photos and eight videos, from her newborn weeks to her first birthday. It opens with a video of Rocki in a high chair wearing a long black wig, and the second slide has her in a full head of pink hair rollers.
One photo shows Rocki in a pink tulle dress and pink sunglasses, next to a three-tier pink cake topped with a ballerina doll.
In another, she lies on a red carpet in front of a wall of photographers, wrapped in a yellow fur-trimmed cape with gold embroidery. It looks a lot like the yellow Guo Pei gown Rihanna wore to the 2015 Met Gala.
Rihanna shows up on camera with her too, making faces at Rocki in one of the videos. In another clip, a Louis Vuitton bag gets taken from Rocki and handed back, “Rihanna, stop taking that lady’s bag,” one commenter wrote.
When was Rocki born?
Rocki was born on Sept. 13, 2025. Rihanna revealed her name and shared the first photo on Instagram 11 days later, on Sept. 24, 2025. She announced the pregnancy in May 2025, on the Met Gala red carpet, where A$AP Rocky was a co-chair.
How many kids do Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have?
Three. Rocki’s older brothers are RZA, 4, born in May 2022, and Riot Rose, 3, born in August 2023. Their father is A$AP Rocky, 37, whose legal name is Rakim Mayers, and all three carry his surname.
The names have a pattern. RZA shares his with the Wu-Tang Clan founding member, Riot shares his with Rocky’s 2023 single “Riot (Rowdy Pipe’n)”, and Rocki’s echoes her father’s stage name.
