La-Z-Boy Power Lift Recliners: Every Model, Price and What’s New for 2027
La-Z-Boy has four new PowerLift styles coming in early 2027. How a lift recliner works, the eight models on sale now with their prices, how to choose between them and what the new ones add.

- La-Z-Boy sells eight power lift recliners today, from $1,099 for the Jean Ease on sale to $3,499 for the Clayton XL.
- Four new PowerLift styles, with zero-gravity recline, a power headrest and lumbar, and a redesigned remote, reach stores in early 2027.
- The chairs list a battery backup, on two 9-volt batteries, so they can still move if the power goes out.
La-Z-Boy is adding four styles to its PowerLift line, the power recliners that tilt forward to help you stand up. The company showed them at the October High Point Market, the furniture industry’s trade show, and announced on Oct. 21 that they’ll reach La-Z-Boy stores in early 2027.
Until then, eight lift recliners are on sale now. Here’s what each costs, what the features mean and what’s coming.
How does a power lift recliner work?
A motor in the base raises the whole chair and tilts it forward, so the seat comes up under you as you stand, and lowers you the same way when you sit.
The same remote also reclines the chair. La-Z-Boy’s description is that the lift “gently elevates seat to make sitting down and standing up easy and worry-free.”

Three terms show up on every listing:
- Battery backup: the listings call for two 9-volt batteries so the chair can still move if the power fails.
- Zero-gravity: on the Platinum models, the chair reclines all the way back into a feet-up position that La-Z-Boy says takes pressure off the lower back and spine.
- Headrest and lumbar: separate power motors that adjust the head pillow and the lower-back support on their own.
Which La-Z-Boy lift chairs can you buy now?
These were the starting prices on La-Z-Boy.com on Thursday, Oct. 22. They’re for the base fabric; other covers cost more, and the site didn’t list an end date for the sale prices.
| Model | Price | What sets it apart |
|---|---|---|
| Jean Ease | $1,099 (regularly $1,499) | Smaller scale; tagged the best seller |
| Billie Ease | From $1,699 | Smaller scale, plusher traditional look |
| Liam Ease | From $1,899 | Contemporary, tall split back |
| Pinnacle Platinum | $1,699 (regularly $2,799) | Zero-gravity, separate back and legrest motion |
| Pinnacle Platinum with Headrest & Lumbar | $2,299 (regularly $3,399) | Adds power headrest and lumbar; 350-lb. capacity |
| Astor Platinum | $1,899 (regularly $2,999) | Built for larger users: deeper, wider seat on a tall base |
| Astor Platinum with Headrest & Lumbar | $2,499 (regularly $3,599) | Astor plus power headrest and lumbar |
| Clayton XL | From $3,499 | 42 inches wide, heat and massage, 500-lb. capacity |

How do you pick the right one?
Start with the person who’ll use it. The Jean and Billie Ease are built in a smaller scale, for shorter people and smaller rooms. The Astor Platinum and the Clayton XL go the other way: La-Z-Boy designed the Astor “especially for larger users,” and the Clayton holds up to 500 pounds.
Then the features. La-Z-Boy lists zero-gravity recline on the Platinum models, and the cheapest of those is the Pinnacle Platinum, at $1,699 on sale.
For heat and massage, the Clayton XL has three heat settings and a six-motor massage. These chairs are heavy, too: the Jean Ease weighs 102 pounds and the Pinnacle with headrest and lumbar 152.
What’s new in La-Z-Boy’s 2027 lift chairs?
La-Z-Boy, which calls itself one of the largest lift chair makers and retailers in the country, hasn’t named the four new styles or their prices yet. It described what they add:
- Zero-gravity recline
- “Triple articulation”: the headrest, lumbar and footrest each move on their own
- A redesigned wired remote
- More sizes and higher weight capacities
- iClean Plus, a stain-resistant fabric with a moisture barrier, as an option
“We are gaining deeper insights into our consumers, who are actively seeking the unmatched comfort of La-Z-Boy products,” said Nelly Martínez Garza, La-Z-Boy’s senior director of product design and pricing.
Something else is in stores sooner. AudioLuxe, La-Z-Boy’s line of recliners and motion furniture with speakers and subwoofers built in, with Sound by Klipsch, is arriving now at select La-Z-Boy stores. The company has about 380 stores.
