  • Dreame‘s Prime Big Deal Days sale runs Oct. 6 and 7 on Amazon and dreametech.com, with up to 50% off seven robot vacuums.
  • The cheapest is the D20 Air Plus at $199.99. The biggest cut is on the L50 Ultra, half off at $699.99.
  • The flagship X60 Max Ultra Complete, Dreame’s thinnest robot at 3.13 inches, drops $520 to $1,179.99. Some offers may require a Prime membership.

Dreame is putting its whole robot vacuum lineup on sale for Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days, the company announced Monday (Oct. 5). The prices run Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 6 and 7, on Amazon and on Dreame’s own site, with discounts of up to 50%.

Seven models are included, from the $199.99 D20 Air Plus to the flagship X60 Max Ultra Complete at $1,179.99. Here are all seven deals, what the numbers on the box mean and which robot fits which kind of home.

What is the best Dreame deal for Prime Big Deal Days?

It depends on the floor, and Dreame’s North America chief pitched the sale that way.

Some need power for thick carpet, while others need a robot that climbs thresholds, or just want floors that stay clean without the work.

In dollars, the deepest cut is on the L50 Ultra: $700 off, half its $1,399.99 list price. The flagship comes next, at $520 off. The smallest discount is on the X50 Ultra Complete, at 18.2%. Below, each deal is matched to the home it was built for, using Dreame’s specs.

Which Dreame robot vacuum should you buy?

For low furniture: X60 Max Ultra Complete, $1,179.99

The flagship is Dreame’s thinnest robot vacuum, 3.13 inches (7.95 cm) tall, so it slides under sofas, beds and low cabinets. It pulls 35,000Pa of suction, the most in the sale, and its upgraded ProLeap System crosses obstacles up to 3.47 inches high, according to Dreame.

Before buying it for the gap under a couch, measure the gap: lower than 3.13 inches, and the robot won’t fit. The deal takes $520 off the $1,699.99 list price, a 30.6% cut. On Oct. 5, the day before the sale, Dreame’s own site listed it at $1,499.99.

For pet hair: L60 Ultra PE, $784.99

Dreame says the L60 Ultra PE is built for homes with hair. It pairs 30,000Pa of suction with the HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush, a brush Dreame designed to keep long hair from wrapping around it. That wrapping is what usually sends owners to the roller with a pair of scissors.

Its dock washes the mop pads with 212°F (100°C) water after every cycle. Hot water loosens grease and dried spills that cold water leaves behind, the same reason dishes come out cleaner in a hot wash. The deal is $215 off the $999.99 list price, or 21.5%.

For cluttered floors: L50 Ultra, $699.99

The biggest discount in the sale goes to a robot made for floors with things on them. Dreame says the L50 Ultra’s AI recognizes and avoids more than 180 types of household objects. At $699.99, it’s half its $1,399.99 list price.

ProLeap legs let it step over single steps up to 1.65 inches high. Its base station empties the robot for up to 100 days and refills the cleaning solution on its own.

For thresholds: X50 Ultra Complete, $899.99

The X50 Ultra Complete is the robot that debuted Dreame’s ProLeap System, retractable legs that climb thresholds and small steps. It has 20,000Pa of suction, and its VersaLift sensor retracts so the robot can clean under low furniture. The deal is $200 off the $1,099.99 list price.

For corners and edges: L40 Ultra Gen 2, $449.99

A round robot can’t reach into a square corner. Dreame’s fix on the L40 Ultra Gen 2 is Dual Flex Arm Technology: the side brush and the mop extend out from the body into corners and along edges. It runs on 25,000Pa of suction from a sixth-generation TurboForce motor.

The dock empties the robot for up to 100 days and dries the mops with hot air, so the pads don’t sit damp in the dock between runs. At $449.99, it’s $200 off the $649.99 list price, about 31%.

For rugs: D30 Ultra CE, $369.99

A robot that vacuums and mops in one pass has one problem on rugs: a wet mop. The D30 Ultra CE lifts its mops 0.41 inches (10.5 mm) to keep carpets dry, according to Dreame. It has 25,000Pa of suction and DuoScrub, two spinning mop pads.

Its PowerDock 2.0 empties the robot for up to 100 days. Dreame pitches it as a self-maintaining dock at a mid-range price, and the deal takes $130 off the $499.99 list price.

For a tight budget: D20 Air Plus, $199.99

The cheapest robot in the sale still empties itself. The D20 Air Plus’s dock holds up to 120 days of debris in a 4-liter bag, according to Dreame, and the robot vacuums and mops at the same time with 20,000Pa of suction. The deal is $70 off the $269.99 list price.

What do the numbers on a robot vacuum mean?

Suction is listed in pascals (Pa), a unit of pressure: how hard the motor pulls air at the floor. The robots in this sale run from 20,000Pa on the D20 Air Plus to 35,000Pa on the X60. Carpet is where the extra pull counts, which is why Wang tied power to thick carpet.

The self-emptying dock is the reason a robot can run for months without help. Its onboard bin is small, so every time it parks, the dock pulls the dirt into a bag. The 100 or 120 days Dreame quotes is how long that bag lasts. A home with pets, or more floor, fills it sooner.

Threshold climbing is the height of the ledge a robot can get over, like the strip between a hallway and a bathroom. The ProLeap legs on the X60, X50 and L50 lift the robot over higher ledges than wheels alone: up to 3.47 inches on the X60, per Dreame.

When does the Dreame Prime Big Deal Days sale end?

Wednesday, Oct. 7. Dreame said the prices are available Oct. 6 and 7 only, on its Amazon storefront and at dreametech.com. Prime Big Deal Days is Amazon’s October sale for Prime members, and some of Dreame’s offers may require a Prime membership.

The prices in this story are the ones Dreame announced for the event. Prices on Amazon can move during the sale, so the number at checkout is the one that counts.
