  • Jim Carrey, 64, married his longtime partner Min Ah, a spokesperson for the actor confirmed on Wednesday, Sept. 30.
  • No date, venue or guest list has been given. The couple went public on Feb. 26, when Carrey thanked his “sublime companion” from the stage of the César Awards in Paris.
  • It is his third marriage, after Melissa Womer and Lauren Holly.

Jim Carrey is married again. The actor, 64, wed Min Ah, his longtime partner, in a private ceremony, his spokesperson confirmed on Wednesday, Sept. 30. It is his third marriage.

The confirmation was brief: no date, no venue and no guest list. Here is what is on the record about the wedding, about Min Ah and about the seven months since the couple went public.

When did Jim Carrey marry Min Ah?

The date hasn’t been given. The statement came on Sept. 30, seven months after Carrey thanked Min Ah from the stage of the César Awards in Paris on Feb. 26.

TMZ, citing unnamed sources, reported that it was a small ceremony in Los Angeles. Carrey’s spokesperson hasn’t said where it took place, when, or who was there.

Who is Min Ah, and how long have they been together?

Very little about Min Ah is public. Carrey, his spokesperson and Min Ah haven’t shared her age, where she is from or what she does for a living.

The relationship has three dates on the record:

  • February 2022: Carrey and Min Ah are photographed together in Los Angeles after a benefit comedy show.
  • Feb. 26, 2026: they arrive together at the César Awards, where Carrey receives an honorary César. It is their first public appearance as a couple.
  • Sept. 30, 2026: Carrey’s spokesperson confirms the marriage.

If the 2022 photos mark the start, that’s at least four years. Neither Carrey nor Min Ah has said when the relationship began, how they met or when they got engaged.

What did Jim Carrey say about Min Ah at the César Awards?

Carrey accepted the honorary César, which recognizes a whole career, from the 1990s comedies to Dr. Robotnik in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024). He gave the speech entirely in French.

Michel Gondry, who directed him in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and executive-produced his series Kidding, introduced him on stage.

He thanked his daughter, Jane Erin Carrey, and his grandson, Jackson, who were with him in the audience. Then he turned to Min Ah, thanking “my sublime companion” and telling her, “I love you.” Min Ah was at the ceremony with him.

He ended by joking about his own French. “How was my French? Almost mediocre, right?” he asked the room, adding that he was “just learning it” and that his “tongue is tired.”

The speech also covered family history. Carrey said an ancestor, Marc-François Carré, left Saint-Malo for Canada about 300 years ago, and thanked his late father, Percy Joseph Carrey, for teaching him “the value of love, generosity, and laughter.”

Who were Jim Carrey’s previous wives?

Min Ah is his third wife.

  • Melissa Womer (1987–1995): Carrey’s first wife and the mother of his only child, Jane.
  • Lauren Holly (1996–1997): his co-star in the 1994 comedy Dumb and Dumber.
  • Min Ah (2026): the wedding confirmed on Sept. 30.

The take: everything on the record comes from two moments: a speech in a language Carrey says he is still learning, and a one-line confirmation with no date. Until one of them says more, that is the whole file. Her age, her work and how they met are not in it.

More from Celebrities: Sophia Bush and Ashlyn Harris, who revealed their own wedding the same day, who Justin Verlander’s wife, Kate Upton, is and, in Movies & TV, what Andrew Garfield said about the three Spider-Men.
